Moderna Jive

Moderna Jive is a friendly, family run dance club and we are proud to be introducing our new classes in Surrey and Hampshire! We run relaxed group dance classes where having fun is more important than always getting everything right. There is no need to book or even bring a partner, just turn up and join in - all you need bring is a smile.
What is Modern Jive? The type of dance we teach is a simple partner dance with hardly any footwork so it doesn t matter if you have two left feet. It is similar to salsa but danced to different speed music and is much easier to pick up. The music is very varied - everything from Etta James to Kylie, pretty much any style of music is fine as long as it s the right tempo.
We offer the following weekly group dance lessons: in Godalming and in Farnborough. We also offer salsa in North Camp and Godalming too, see Salsa Moderna for more details. As well as our regular weekly classes we often teach special classes in Blues, Drops & Dips, and Tango/Jive fusion.
